"The Hold Up" is a character driven suspense short that tells the story of a robbery from both sides; the victim and the robber. Our goal with this project is to give the audience an intimate understanding of our two main characters and how they perceive this intense conflict. 

 

The victim, Victor has fallen on hard times, trying to live the dream as an accomplished musician. But the realities of life are making it increasingly difficult and he's starting to lose hope. Then Michael walks into his life. To Victor, Michael looks like a smooth talking, charismatic, successful business man on level of Jerry Maguire or Jordan Belfort. But it's all a show; Michael is laying a trap to get what he wants.
